OCTAVIA SPERATI Announce New Drummer

July 4, 2006

Norwegian metal band OCTAVIA SPERATI has posted the following message on its official web site:

"Finally it is time to announce that Ivar Alver has joined the band, and will be our permanent drummer from now on. It took us a while but we now feel sure that we have found the right person.

"We would also like to thank everyone who has contacted us regarding the drummer position.

"We have been working on new material for a while and with Ivar behind the drums things have started to take shape. If things go as planned we will enter studio late this fall, and the new album will be released early next year."

OCTAVIA SPERATI's debut album, "Winter Enclosure", was released in the U.S. in June 2005 via Candlelight Records. Recorded in the band's hometown of Bergen, Norway, the CD was produced by Herbrand Larsen and Arve Isdal, both members of labelmates ENSLAVED.

Formed in 2000, OCTAVIA SPERATI's current lineup also includes singer Silje Wergeland, bassist Trine C. Johansen, guitarists Gyri S. Losnegaard and Bodil Myklebust, and keyboardist Tone Midtgaard.

OCTAVIA SPERATI supported CRADLE OF FILTH on their U.K. tour last December.
